1.several用作形容词,作“几个,数个,一些”解时,多指三个以上,十个以下,其后接复数名词,一般用于肯定句中; 作“各自的,不同的”解时,其后可接复数名词,也可接单数名词,但如果其前有each或every修饰时,其后则只能接单数名词。
2.several与被other, such, more等词修饰的名词连用时,通常放在这些词前。

1.several用作代词作主语时,谓语动词用复数形式。
2.several可接of短语,如果of后接名词,在名词前则要有定冠词the、物主代词或指示代词等限定词。

Several of the children were in the garden.有几个小孩在花园里。
