1.rule的基本意思是“用尺子划,在…划平行线”。引申可作“统治”“控制”解,即运用权力或权威特别是制定法律、法令等来规范、控制或指导其他人或民族、国家等的行为。rule还可指“裁决”“拒绝考虑某事”“保持某一水平”等。
2.rule可用作及物动词,也可用作不及物动词。用作及物动词时接名词、代词或that从句作宾语, that从句里的谓语动词可用虚拟式。
