1.propagate的基本意思是“增加”“扩大”,可指动物、植物或人的“繁殖”,不侧重繁殖的方式,也不暗示内在的性活动。引申则可指“散布”“传播”,如信仰者或成员的增多,活动或运转的频繁或信息的传播等。
2.propagate可用作及物动词,也可用作不及物动词。用作及物动词时,可接名词或代词作宾语。可用于被动结构。
