1.precede的基本意思是“在前”“先于”,指某物在顺序、位置或时间等方面处在前面。引申可作“优于”“高于”解。
2.precede可用作及物动词,也可用作不及物动词。用作及物动词时接名词或代词作宾语。
3.precede的主语是人时,后面常接介词by或with引出的短语。后接by时多用于被动结构; 后接with时一般用主动结构。
