1.infer的基本意思是“推断,推知”,多指读者、听者或旁观者在所见所闻的事物中推论出某事的内涵。引申则表示“意味着”。
2.infer可用作及物动词,也可用作不及物动词。用作及物动词时可接名词或从句作宾语。
3.infer宾语后接介词from表示“从…推断出”,宾语是从句时, from短语可以提前。
