1.beach的基本意思是“沙滩”“海滨”,一般指接近海水的、涨潮时有水而退潮时无水的较为平坦的海滩，多由沙子、鹅卵石、小石子等覆盖而成。也可指湖滨或河滩,引申还可指“岸边”“陆地”。
2.表示“在沙滩上”时, beach前大多用介词on,有时也可用介词at。
