1.aid的基本意思是为他人或团体公共事业在困难或危急之时提供的正式的、较大的物资或经济援助,有时含有被帮助者薄弱,而帮助者强而有力的意味。
2.aid是正式用语,且含有高尚的意味,日常生活中不常用。
3.aid是及物动词,主语一般为人,宾语为帮助的对象。其后可接“with+n.”或“in+n./v-ing”短语表示“以…相助”或“助其做…”等义。
4.aid可接以动词不定式(短语)作补足语的复合宾语。

We have aided him in finishing the work ahead of time.(BrE)
