1.administer的含义有二：一是“管理”,指监督、管理、处理他人的事物。二是“给予”,可以给予有帮助的东西,也可给予惩罚。
2.administer可用作不及物动词,作“管理”解时常接介词upon; 作“给予”解时常接介词to。
3.administer也可用作及物动词,接名词或代词作简单宾语。作“给予”解时可接双宾语,其间接宾语由介词to引出。
